Panagiota Trygoni studied Dietetics and Nutrition at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and graduated in 2015 with an overall grade of 8.73 (“Excellent”).

 

She completed her internship in the Nutrition Department of “Vostanio” General Hospital of Mytilene, while at the same time collaborating with the Hospital’s Outpatient Diabetes Clinic, which she visited daily, working on the nutritional management of diabetic patients.

 

She conducted her undergraduate thesis entitled: “Adherence to the Mediterranean Diet in Mytilene in relation to the occurrence of acute coronary syndrome and ischemic stroke.”

 

During 2014–2015, alongside her studies, she participated in the ESPA research program “Alliance for Health – Nutrition” in the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

 

In 2016, she obtained a Diploma of Specialization in Eating Disorders and Obesity (Master Practitioner Programme in Eating Disorders & Obesity) from the National Center for Eating Disorders (NCfED) in the United Kingdom, through KEADD, certified by the British Psychological Society (BPS).

 

In December of the same year, she attended the program “Basic Life Support and Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).”

 

In 2020, she successfully completed a three-month seminar on “Management of Patients with Kidney Disease” provided by KEADD.

 

Additionally, during 2022–2023, she completed a four-month comprehensive training program in “Pediatric Nutrition in Health and Disease” (Pediatric Nutrition Course) by Life Academy.

 

In January 2025, she completed Monash University’s training on the “Low FODMAP Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome” and is officially listed in the FODMAP Dietitians Directory (Monash FODMAP).

 

In July of the same year, she obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree titled “Food, Nutrition and Microbiome” from the Department of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Democritus University of Thrace.

 

From 2010 to the present, she has attended numerous scientific conferences and seminars related to nutrition and contemporary health-related issues.

 

She holds a professional license to practice and is a member of the Hellenic Association of Dietitians–Nutritionists and the Panhellenic Association of Dietitians–Nutritionists. She is also an official scientific collaborator of the Center for Education and Treatment of Eating Disorders (KEADD).

 

She has delivered various lectures in schools and across the wider region of Lesvos on topics such as sports nutrition (in collaboration with the Lesvos Football Clubs Association), childhood obesity, nutrition and diabetes mellitus, and eating disorders.

 

Additionally, she has participated in informational talks at the School of Parents and in the initiative “We Are Islanders” organized by the Municipality of Western Lesvos. Her articles have been published on various websites (www.flowmagazine.grwww.diatrofi.gr,

www.thehealthlab.gr) and in the online magazine e-food for thought.

 

In June 2018, she opened her private dietetic office in Kalloni, Lesvos. As she states, her goal is to become a valuable friend and advisor in the journey of anyone who wishes to achieve a balanced way of eating and to lay the foundations for healthy dietary habits, beyond the narrow time limits of a typical nutrition program.

Her slogan states:
